We believe life has a point. We believe there is a God. We believe that God sees and loves us, even though we can't see God. We believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son and died for the "bad things" we do, so that we don't have to be punished (this sounds complicated, but bear with us. We can explain any terms you don't understand right away).

Because Jesus died for us, our wrongs ("sins") have been atoned for. That means that we can have a good relationship with the God of the universe. And because Jesus came back to life on the third day after he was buried, we know he was telling us the truth. If you don't believe in the Resurrection of Jesus, tell us so. We can tell you why we do believe.

This is not something we believe blindly. We have reasons. We have heard the arguments against God, against Jesus (who is God, but that's a complicated subject called "The Trinity" or "The Incarnation"), and against the Bible. We would like nothing more than to tell you about the answers we've found, and to help you find your own.

God offers us forgiveness for our sins. He offers us real life, both now and after our physical bodies die. God offers us a good standing, and right relationship with Himself.

All this Jesus made possible by living a perfect life (which He could do, since He was both God and human at the same time) and by allowing Himself to be killed on a cross by Roman soldiers, nearly 2000 years ago.

All we have to do is admit to God that we are sinners ("Sinners" means that we do and have done bad things that make God unhappy and seperate us from Him).
Then we repent ("Repent" means to decide to live a life that is pleasing to God. We know we won't be perfect, and God knows that too, but we make that commitment with His help).
Then we ask God to forgive us for our sins.
We tell Him that we believe that Jesus died for us, and that God raised Jesus from the dead.
Finally, we ask Jesus to be our Saviour and Lord ("Saviour" means the person who saves us from the seperation from God that our sin had caused. "Lord" means the person we follow and obey).

From that point on we are children of God, and God offers to us many promises, while requesting us to follow Him. We find out those promises and how to follow Him by reading the Bible.

All this is a bit much to fit on a website. It might make no sense to you at all. So write to us. We've probably already asked the same questions you are asking. If we haven't, we can find someone who has and hopefully help you figure out the answer.
